Penguin Prison

Neon Gold records, the ones that brought us Passion Pit, Marina & the Diamonds, Ellie Goulding and The Sound of Arrows, have just signed the recent project by Chris Glover called Penguin Prison. Back in September they revieled “Animal Animal” song and are now giving us another sneak peek single “A Funny Thing”. More electro-pop and 80s style!

Little Red

Just pure and simple music is what makes Little Red so special. In my words, they are 70’s, summer times and sepia flashbacks. “It’s Alright” makes me think the world is made of good things, “Coca-cola” on the other hand, makes me regret not having some right now!
Their debut album is out since the 16th of this month, go out and find it!

Música pura e simples é o que faz dos Little Red tão especiais. Nas minhas palavras, eles são os anos 70, tempo de verão e câmaras sépia. “It’s Alright” faz-me pensar que o mundo é feito de coisas boas, já “Coca-Cola” faz-me arrepender não tê-la neste preciso momento!
O CD de estreia deles está nas bancas desde dia 16 deste mês, vão à rua e encontrem-o!

I got be honest, dubstep is just not my thing. Nevertheless, I can agree on one thing: Jakwob is really good. I think everyone remembers the remix he did for Ellie Goulding‘s Starry Eyed. Well, now I have two other remixes, one for the same lady and one for Alan Pownall‘s “A Life Worth Living” and only one word for both: NICE!

Tenho de ser honesto, dubstep não é a minha cena. Ainda assim, eu concordo uma coisa: O Jakwob é patrão. Eu acho que toda a gente se lembra do remix que ele fez para a Starry Eyed da Ellie Goulding. Bem, agora tenho mais 2 remixes, um para a mesma senhora e outro para “A Life Worth Living” do Alan Pownall e apenas uma palavra para ambas: NICE!

Hot Chip

I’m kinda in love with the new Hot Chip hit. Beautiful atmosphere and feeling in it. The album goes out on February 2010, one more for the incredible list of top bands new releases.

Estou meio apaixonado pela nova música dos Hot Chip. Tem uma atmosfera lindíssima. O álbum sai em Fevereiro de 2010, mais um para a incrível lista de novos trabalhos de grandes bandas.

I am still not sure whether I like Think About Life or not. Their first single from their last cd, “Sweet Sixteen”, is for fans of Metronomy‘s “Heartbreaker” and Bloc Party‘s Kele voice (which I most certainly am!).  The problem is their other single, “Havin’ My Baby” – I don’t know if I should think in good things or não. Can you please help me with this?

Eu ainda não tenho bem a certeza se gosto ou não dos Think About Life. O primeiro single do último CD deles, “Sweet Sixteen”, é para fans da Heartbreaker dos Metronomy e da voz do Kele dos Bloc Party (que eu sou!). O problema é o outro single, “Havin’ My Baby” – Não sei se hei-de pensar em coisas boas ou não. Podem-me ajudar com isto?
