Bossasaurus

So, I got this email from Bossasaurus saying “if you like Nosaj Thing, I’d bet my left pinky toe you’ll dig us”. I went to their bandcamp right away and heard their debut EP, Lacerta, that will be released next week. They couldn’t be more right, their music is tight! They’re both from USA and they’re off to a good start, I can tell you that. I love Light Pollution, it’s just so freakin’ inspiring.

Então, recebi este email dos Bossasaurus a dizer “se tu gostas de Nosaj Thing, aposto o dedo mindinho do pé em como vais gostar de nós”. Como tal, fui ao bandcamp deles logo e ouvi o EP de estreia, “Lacerta”, que vai ser lançado na próxima semana. Não podiam estar mais certo, a música deles é forte! São os dois dos EUA e estão bem lançados, posso-vos dizer isso. Adoro a Light Pollution, é que é mesmo inspiradora!

PedroKaco Feat. Joya Bravo

As far as we could investigate, Joya Bravo was in Brazil to participate in a festival and she was presented to producer PedroKaco. She really liked his work and together they decided to make a version for this song by Caetano Veloso. Result: great sound!

Ao que conseguimos apurar, a Joya Bravo esteve no Brasil para participar num festival e foi apresentada ao  produtor PedroKaco. Ela gostou muito do seu trabalho e juntos decidiram fazer uma versão para esta música do Caetano Veloso. Resultado: grandji malhá!

Is Tropical is the latest band that made the likes of the guys behind Kitsuné and they’re soon starting their first European Tour (that does not include Portugal, as usual). To celebrate the occasion and also the release of their first single, “South Pacific”, they’re giving away a mixtape with some of their favourite bands (tracklist after the jump). Also, a remix of their single by Database, that is included on their single, together with other remixes by Peaces, Get People and Yojimbo.

Os Is Tropical são a última banda a ter agradado à rapaziada por trás da Kitsuné e eles vão começar a primeira Tour pela Europa em breve (que não inclui Portugal, como sempre). Cut Copy‘s new album is being released only in February, but the first single is already out. “Take Me Over” sounds like Fleetwood Mac, some might say, but I don’t like to make such comparisons. I think the track is tight, but it’s definitely below my expectations. Let’s wait for the rest of Zonoscope!

O novo cd de Cut Copy vai ser lançado apenas em Fevereiro, mas o 1º single já está cá fora. “Take Me Over” soa a Fleetwood Mac, têm dito algumas pessoas, mas eu não gosto de fazer esse tipo de comparações. Eu acho que é um bom som, mas está definitivamente abaixo das minhas expectativas. Vamos esperar pelo resto do Zonoscope !
