Destiny is creepy. Just yesterday I was thinking how good it would be if Foals released a single for “Miami”, one of the songs of their new album, and today, they did it. I’m absolutely falling love in love with these guys. Plus, they recorded their album in Sweden, my second home. The video is weird though.
O destino é assustador. Ainda ontem estava a pensar o quão bom seria se os Foals lançassem um single para a “Miami”, uma das músicas do novo álbum, e hoje, fizeram-no. Estou mesmo apaixonado por esta banda. Mais, eles gravaram o álbum na Suécia, a minha segunda casa. O video é muita estranho, no entanto.

Ali Love is not exactly my favourite act, but I actually like the latest leak from his “Love Harder” album. “Love in Darkness” is a electronic epopee perfect for a night out. I’m having a problem though… I’m pretty sure he’s using a specific word too much times but I just can’t put my finger on it… (irony)

There’s a new french trio on the block, that does some infectious disco pop, called Showgirls. They’ve just released a debut mini album, “Mini”, that includes this “Foolin’ Around”. It’s cute and all, but a little too slow for me. It sure needed a remix and that’s what Hypnolove did, thankfully. Be sure to show both some love on their myspaces, while you listen to this sweet summer tune.
Há um novo trio francês na zona, que faz um disco pop infeccioso, chamado Showgirls. Eles acabaram de lançar um mini álbum de estreia, “Mini”, que inclui esta “Foolin’ Around”. É querida e assim, mas é um bocadinho lenta demais para mim. Precisava de um remix e foi exactamente isso que o Hypnolove fez, felizmente. I’ve been listening to Foals‘ new album for several straight hours on the last few days and I haven’t gone mad so far. All I can say is that Spanish Sahara can be pretty addictive. Recently, Astronomer did a edit on their latest single, “This Orient” and it’s quite refreshing to hear his new perspective.
Eu tenho andado a ouvir o novo album de Foals durante várias horas seguidas nos últimos dias e ainda não fiquei maluco. Tudo o que posso dizer é que a Spanish Sahara consegue ser bem viciante. Recentemente, o Astronomer fez um Dub do último single deles, “This Orient” e é bastante refrescante ouvir esta nova perspectiva.

Midnight Juggernauts have been generating quite a buzz around their new album “The Crystal Axis”, that is coming out next week, 28th of May. To get everyone excited about it, they released a video for “Vital Signs” and now, one week before the big day, a b-side leaks. “Get Connected” has haunting voices, Klaxons feeling, weird funeral synths and still manages to get freaky right before the end. Can’t wait for the album to be released! Also, if you didn’t hear yet, I’ll leave you with Vital Signs, the opening single.
Os Midnight Juggernauts têm gerado um zum-zum considerável à volta do novo álbum, “The Crystal Axis”, que vai sair na próxima semana, dia 28 de Maio. Para pôr toda a gente em pulgas, eles lançaram um video para a Vital Signs e agora, uma semana antes do grande dia, saiu um b-side. “Get Connected” tem vozes assombrosas, um feeling de Klaxons, synths estranhos de funeral e ainda consegue ficar marada mesmo antes do fim. The guys sent us the promo kit, that includes a minimix with 3 of the songs included in the EP and that’s exactly what we are sharing! Ain’t we great?

Let’s be honest, I’m not the biggest hip-hop fan. Some of you may now be thinking “Fuck, what does this retard know about hip-hop?” – True, I don’t know shit. Still, guys like Wale and Kid Cudi made me look to this kind of music in a whole new perspective. So, on to the subject.. This guy Phillip Martell sent me a remix of a Just Jack song featuring Wale, “Embers” and at first I was ceptic, because he mentioned Ibiza on the private message. Ibiza ain’t a good reference for me, but I thought the guy was pretty personal with the description, so I gave it a chance. Good thing I did! Great piece of remix, really feeling it! Thanks Mr. Martell!
Vamos ser honestos, eu não sou o maior fã de hip-hop. Alguns de vocês podem estar a pensar “O que é que este atrasado sabe sobre hip-hop?” – Têm razão, não sei nada. Ainda assim, gajos como o Wale e o Kid Cudi fizeram-me ter uma perspectiva completamente diferente neste tipo de música. Bem, adiante… Este mano chamado Phillip Martell mandou-me um remix de uma música de Just Jack com o Wale, “Embers” e à primeira estava céptico, porque ele mencionou Ibiza na mensagem. Ibiza não é uma boa referência para mim, mas eu achei que ele tinha sido bastante pessoal com a descrição, por isso dei o beneficio da dúvida. E ainda bem! Grande remix, estou mesmo a senti-lo! Obrigado Mr. Martell!
