The Wombats + Grum

The Wombats have been one of my great obsessions regarding indie rock music and I couldn’t be more happy with their return. Last thing we heard from them was that Circuitboard City song, that I honestly considered shitty, but this new tune completely washes off my ears. They’re definitely back on track with this “Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)”, music that you will most certainly hear next time you see us playing on a bar. The single was released today and we have the Grum‘s remix here for you.

Os The Wombats têm sido uma das minhas grandes obsessões no que toca a indie rock e eu não podia estar mais feliz por terem regressado. A última coisa que ouvimos deles foi aquela Circuitboard City, que eu, honestamente, achava merdosa, mas esta música limpa-me completamente os ouvidos. Jameson Urban Routes is an event you should definitely schedule on your agenda. It’s all gonna go down on Musicbox, Lisbon, next month and going there will make you see names such as Toro Y Moi, Marina Gasolina (ex-Bonde do Rolê) and El Guincho. Focusing on the last name, the latest single from his Pop Negro album, released this year, is this lovely song called Bombay, that has a video to go with it.

O Jameson Urban Routes é um evento que vocês deviam marcar na vossa agenda. Shiny Disco Club

I am currently re-discovering myself towards music, given my epiphany last week regarding what exactly was the style that made me happy to share, when DJ’ing. Nevertheless, it’s important to stress that I’ve been hearing nu-disco for ages, just never realized how much I enjoyed it.
Lame stories aside, Shiny Disco Club, a recent bud on Soundcloud, just shared a compilation of 28 nu-disco/disco/house tunes, all downloadable (yes, they’re just giving away stuff!). It’s really good, though some songs are a little too housy for me. You won’t regret giving it a listen, that’s for sure.

Eu estou de momento a redescobrir-me em relação à música, dada a minha epifania na última semana visando exactamente o estilo que me faz feliz partilhar, quando a passar música. Ainda assim, é importante sublinhar que eu já ouvia nu-disco há bué, simplesmente nunca me tinha apercebido o quanto eu gostava disso.
Histórias lamechas à parte, os Shiny Disco Club, um recente amigo no soundcloud, acabou de partilhar uma compilação de 28 sons de nu-disco/disco/house, todas downloadáveis (sim, estão a dar cenas à toa!). É bastante boa, apesar de ter umas quantas músicas demasiado house para mim. Não se vão arrepender de lhe dar um taste, isso é certo.
