Tokyo Police Club are, without any doubts, one of my favourite bands. Their short-lenght albums may confuse most of the fans but I can’t stop loving them. They’re kids, they’re concise and they’re really, really good. Their new album “Champ” is coming soon (June 8th) and the band is giving out the first single. The video is basically the brief history of this new record.

Os Tokyo Police Club são, sem dúvidas nenhumas, uma das minhas bandas preferidas. A brevidade dos albúns pode confundir grande parte dos fans mas eu não consigo deixar de os adorar. São putos, são concisos e são muito, muito bons. O novo álbum, “Champ”, vem aí (8 de Junho) e a banda está a dar o novo single. O vídeo é basicamente uma história deste novo CD.

TDCC, I have to be honest, the first version (not the one from their album) of Something Good Can Work is, still, the best one. Nevertheless, The Twelves give a lovely twist to the song. These last guys are going to attend Rock In Rio this year and I’m definitely not going to see them. Wrong festival guys, wrong festival!

TDCC, eu tenho de ser honesto, a primeira versão (não a do álbum) da Something Good Can Work é, ainda, a melhor. Ainda assim, os The Twelves conseguem dar um twist apreciável à música. Estes últimos vão ao Rock In Rio este ano e eu não vou vê-los de certeza. Festival errado malta, festival errado!

Glass Candy protagonized a great surprise two years ago, with the album B/E/A/T/B/O/X, that generated a big hype due to the excelent electro pop songs. They’re now coming to Portugal to present the new work Deep Gems, with singles and b-sides. This video got released last week! They’re playing in Lux, 22th May.

Muffin

I’ve been holding on to these for the last weeks, but I can’t hold them anymore. Muffin is a question mark, there’s no information about this guy. He’s a 19 years old australian guy, with a electro blood running on his veins. We have two just-baked little muff’s from the Muffin man himself and you’re in for some sweet epic-dreamy-electrojourneys!

Eu estive a aguentar-me a estas nas últimas semanas, mas eu não consigo aguentá-las mais tempo. O Muffin é um ponto de interrogação, não há informação sobre este gajo. Ele é um puto australiano de 19 anos, com sangue electrónico a correr nas veias. Nós temos aqui dois pequenos muff’s do próprio Muffin e vocês estão garantidos para umas dreamy-electrojourneys épicas!

Yeah! There’s a new indie girl out there. Her name is Florrie and she’s doing some interesting pop stuff with the remix master Fred Falke! She’s a drummer, a singer and a songwriter. Cute, sweet and all that things that an indie girl needs to be, haha. Just listen to her!

Foals are definitely back. Some weeks ago I talked about their first single “Spanish Sahara”, coming out of their second album, “Total Live Forever”. Well, now it’s the second single, called “This Orient”. Normally, I try to make a comparison between musics from different albums of the bands, but these guys are just too freakin’ unpredictable. Am I the only one that is crazily expecting to hear the rest of the CD?!

Os Foals estão definitivamente de volta. Há umas semanas atrás eu falei do single “Spanish Sahara”, o primeiro a sair do segundo cd, “Total Live Forever”. Everyone knows how dissapointing Crookers have been lately, but this song really caught my attention. Maybe it’s Yelle, maybe it’s Junkie XL or maybe Crookers are just getting back on the right track, who knows?

Toda a gente sabe quão desapontante os Crookers têm sido, mas esta música ficou-me no ouvido. Secalhar é a Yelle, secalhar é o Junkie XL ou secalhar os Crookers estão a voltar a fazer cenas de jeito, quem sabe?

Miami Noize + Les Petits Pilous

Good evening everyone! It’s been a while… But i’m back! And they’re too. The guys from Boys Noize Records are simply on fire. Miami Noize is available since last week, on Beatport. Eight tracks with artists from Housemeister to Boris Dlugosch. Meanwhile, Petits Pilous are also back with a new EP, Bielle. I leave you with some tracks!
