“Freak Out” is the new single from Minneapolis band Tapes ‘n Tapes. Their third album “Oustside” release is set for 11th January 2011.

Kitsuné‘s next release is getting closer and closer. They dropped a video teaser a few days ago and now the surprising (irony) JBAG minimix, for the 1st CD. The video is actually very nostalgic for us, it reminds me the first post we ever did in this joint.
A próxima release da Kitsuné está quase, quase a chegar. Eles postaram um teaser em vídeo há uns dias atrás e agora a surpreendente (ironia) minimix do JBAG, para o 1º CD. O vídeo é na verdade bastante nostálgico para nós, relembra-me o 1º post que fizémos nesta espelunca.

So sorry for my absence, but I’m gonna try to make it up for you! Lovers is a three piece band based in Portland, consisting of Kerby Ferris, Berk and Emily Kingan. Their sound is dreamy, layered but clean, thing I value a lot, I hate those noisy low-quality tunes that are so in lately. Their debut CD, Dark Light, was released earlier this month and has been receiving some quite good reviews.
Peço imensa desculpa pela minha ausência, mas eu vou tentar compensar-vos! Lovers é um trio, formado pela Kerby Ferris, Berk e Emily Kingan. O som deles é dreamy, cheio de camadas mas clean, coisa que eu dou imenso valor, odeio aqueles sons de qualidade duvidosa, cheios de barulho que estão na moda ultimamente. O álbum de estreia, Dark Light, foi lançado ainda este mês e tem recebido umas reviews bastante boas.

Today I felt like talking disco, so I brought you some tunes I’ve been hearing lately (which are freakin’ awesome, by the way.) So, we have Mr. Fantôme with one of the songs from his debut EP, David E. Sugar remixed by Vanguard and Le Oskar remixing Les Loups’ “Paradiso”. Then, The Alpha Snail with the single Sam Bowie, star of his debut EP also and finally, the no-longer-mistery man, Muffin, with one of his latest works.
Hoje quis falar sobre disco, por isso trouxe-vos uns sons que tenho ultimamente (que são um granda’buso, já agora). Então, temos o Mr. Fantôme com uma das músicas do EP de estreia, David E. Painted Face is Allie Alvarado, a singer from Washington D.C., US, that was brought up among the Brooklyn art rock scene, so she says. She made part of bands such as Blood Lines or Telepathe, but now Allie is now on her own and think she’s doing pretty fine. Her debut EP, Undreamt, is made of four songs all full of multiple wavy synths layers, echoed voices and infectious keyboards. Glam and bass guys.. glam and bass!

Fez parte de bandas como Blood Lines ou Telepathe, mas agora a Allie está numa de solitária e está muito bem, na minha perspectiva.
